YATES cutters is trading name of Alex Yates Engineering Ltd, a precision engineering company based about 10 minutes outside Exeter, in the beautiful county of Devon, UK.
We design and manufacture parts for a range of sectors, including Oil & Gas, Motorsport, and Aerospace.
Our foil cutter was originally created as a fun gift for customers of this engineering business. It's quite common in the engineering sector to create a branded gift or toy that both showcases ones expertise and serves as an interesting, and memorable, corporate gift.
As it was originally designed to be a fun way to show off our design and manufacturing capabilities, the brief was simple: To make the absolute best foil cutter in the world.
As it turned out, our foil cutter received such high praise from these customers that we decided to make it available to the wider public.
